G2 Curriculum Update: April 6th, 2020

Reading: Students are finishing up understanding characters by making more predictions with evidence and learning about characters relationships. Students will see how characters will act differently around other characters just like people do.

Writing: Students will continue to work on the goal they set for themselves last week from the opinion writing checklist.  They will also learn how to write about more than one part of the book, and how to gather more evidence to support their opinions.

Math: This week we will end Module 6! Students will continue to explore the meaning of even and odd numbers, learning various interpretations and relating these findings to addition. Students will discover that doubles facts yield even numbers, even when the number being doubled is not even!

Grammar/Word Study: This week the students will begin to learn what a suffix is and how we use suffixes.  They will also study how modals can help make their writing more persuasive.

Social Studies:
This week we will focus on goods and services and how that can relate to needs and wants. Students will start to think about goods and services they could provide to benefit others.

PortuguêsNo trabalho de Português desta semana, os alunos irão usar o livro “Como fazer um livro de historinhas” para escrever histórias. Além disso, no Elefante Letrado, irão escolher um livro para ler, fazer as atividades propostas e gravar a leitura.
