Literacy- Students have begun their new Reader’s and Writer’s Workshops! In writing they are learning about opinion writing and how to convince their readers. In reading they are learning about the big jobs readers have to do, and how important it is to make sure they are the “boss” of their own reading.
Math-The students are working with place value and comparing numbers. They are learning strategies to solve number stories. Students will explore and practice doubles fact, doubles plus one, and doubles plus two.
Science- Students started investigations about light and darkness. They are learning how to be scientists by observing, asking questions, and taking notes.
Portuguese- Estamos iniciando nossos estudos sobre a autora Eva Furnari e conhecendo algumas de suas obras literarias. Tambem comecamos a explorar as rimas do livro Nao Confunda.
